Happy New School Year! It was wonderful to see everyone back at KES and HES today. I look forward to seeing our students at Burr tomorrow. Despite the heat, everyone looked excited to be back and ready to adjust to life in their new classrooms!
This year, I will continue to teach lessons to all students in grades K-12. As a result of platooning in the 3rd and 4th grade, my schedule will look a little different in terms of when I visit classrooms. Instead of visiting one grade level at a time, I will be blocking off a time in my schedule for each grade level and rotating through classrooms. This means some students will receive social skill lessons at the start of the school year, while others may not see me until October or November.
In addition to lessons, I will continue to run small groups and individual counseling to further support students as needed. Students may be referred to me for counseling support either from teachers or parents. If you have a behavior of concern you see in your child, please do not hesitate to let me know! I am happy to collaborate with parents and teachers to determine the best way to support all of our students.
Wishing you all a smooth transition back to school!
